As a freelance Mobile Massage Therapist travelling the world with her partner, Angelyn´s wonderful Work/Life balance is one that is sure to inspire.

“Being a freelance mobile massage therapist means that I can travel with my partner around Asia and Australia and I have the freedom to build my clients and career whilst I’m studying.

The first time I opened my books to start the course I was so excited and surprised on what they could offer me. It helped me with my confidence in my decision to join ACM big time! ACM’s foundations of touch, draping protocol and format of strokes work really well. The set out of the study structure is clear and easy to follow.

My career highlight so far is that I’ve been working with the dancers, singers and crew of “CATS” the Musical! I feel a sense of satisfaction every time I see progress in their injuries, improved mobility and general health which is essential to perform their type of work.

The crew loves the fact that I am available to them and I’m getting great feedback from them as well!  I am so thankful that I made the right decision to study at the Australian College of Massage.”

Michelle’s massage journey recently culminated in visiting New York to be honoured as a world class therapist.

"Without my studies at ACM I wouldn’t have obtained the skills needed to work closely with other health professionals and eventually lead me to be the spa manager at The Sebel Reef House Resort and Day Spa Palm Cove, Queensland

The course arms you with everything you need to know about the industry. It gives you the knowledge and the know-how to work on the muscles of the human body. It simply teaches you everything, not just the practical massage, but also how to work in your own clinic

As a Therapist at the Reef House Day Spa I was recognised and awarded one of the places in the top 10 best therapists of the world.

I got to go overseas to New York City and be honoured at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel and new Day Spa. It was my first overseas trip and I owe it all to ACM and my determination to succeed in my massage and spa careers."

Passionate about the health and wellness industry, Danny Shaheen´s positive and energetic nature is infectious.

"My first interest in massage was sparked through a general interest in health. I was working as a graphic designer when I had an amazing personal experience of weight loss and increased fitness. I was so inspired by my transformation and new outlook on health that I had a change of career.

I studied my Diploma at ACM via distance education; I was well supported throughout the duration of the course by the staff at ACM. Not to mention, the subjects were well set out and very easy to understand and follow. I found the tutorial DVD’s to be of high quality and I liked the fact that I had them at my disposal anytime anywhere so that I could review them whenever I liked and still can.

ACM has extremely high professional standards and each subject reflects this. They emphasise on working within the professional standards of the industry and following these standards has proven to make my business known for its professionalism.

I am passionate about the health and wellness industry and I feel that it is absolutely the most positive industry to work in. The nature of the business is focused on peoples wellbeing and getting them into optimum health.
Majority of my clients are already passionate about their own health and wellbeing before they walk in the door. Also the fact that my clients rely on me as part of their health regime is rewarding in itself."

For Rebecca Bargenquast, learning massage is self-discovery and applying her learning to work has been enriching.

"A fellow therapist at my work had completed ACM’s Distance Education Diploma and highly recommended the College to me!

After researching what else was on offer I was 100% satisfied with my decision to join ACM.

I have been massaging for 11 years now! Earlier in my massage career my massaging skills helped me to work my way around Australia. During my travels I was employed at resorts in Alice Springs, Noosa and Batemans Bay, sometimes I even massaged guest’s poolside, needless to say it was just as relaxing for me!

I studied by Distance Education and I felt that the course materials presented to me were a true reflection of the high quality training offered by the College. The manuals were easy to follow and the DVD’s were excellent – it was just like being in the classroom. I also loved the fact that there was always someone I could call if I needed help. The Distance Education structure meant that I could do as little or as much as I felt like from day-to-day, I didn’t have the burden of a timetable.

I feel like I am absolutely fully equipped to look after any client that walks into my treatment room. I feel 100% confident that I am doing everything in the correct manner, logically and ethically. I also feel more confident with being self-employed."

Kate Hall took her future into her own hands and after many hours studying in the lounge room on her family farm she has emerged a professional and passionate Massage Therapist.

"I was a 36 year old mother of two with baby number three on the way. I decided it was time to take my future into my own hands. After lots of good (and bad) ideas, I stumbled across massage and it seemed to tick all the right boxes.

What started out as a good job idea has turned into a career that I love and I am very passionate about.

Throughout my Diploma ACM was fantastic and it was due to their flexibility that I was able to get my diploma. There was never any pressure to finish subjects within a certain time and I was able to juggle the study with caring for three small children.

Everything was very easy to understand and follow and if I did have any questions, the administration staff were always very obliging and helpful.

I still get a buzz every time a new client has finished their first session and they want to book in for another. I can´t help but feel a little bit pleased with myself in that they think I am good enough that they are prepared to pay and come back. It´s like a little pat on the back and it´s such a nice and rewarding feeling. Best still, it´s a highlight you get to experience every day!"
